14 Native Sons who elevated culture in 2024, continuing the legacy of Black queer innovators

In 2024, a year marked by seismic cultural and political shifts, Black queer men remained fearless in our pursuit of excellence, continuing our work at the forefront of activism, creativity, and social change.

Native Sons defied anti-queer legislation, racial tensions, and systemic injustice aimed at limiting the impact of the Black queer community, pushing through these challenges for another year of triumph across industries like entertainment, art, and politics. And the 14 changemakers below highlight just some of the most exemplary examples of how Black queer men are continuing to drive the culture, push for change, and honor the legacy of our queer ancestors who came before them.
