2024’s best albums from Black queer artists

Whether you are looking for smooth R&B grooves or high-octane club hits, Black queer music artists dropped some standout projects this year that you just may want to keep on repeat. Black queer artists explored every genre in 2024, offering a variety of sonic experiences for listeners. Some albums were emotionally biting, while others soared with lightweight instrumentation or turned our living rooms into the club with pulsing 808s. 

And while there were plenty of albums that deserve their creative flowers, here are a few of this year’s best projects from Black queer artists we think you should add to your playlist.
