It’s not the Met Gala, but the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s (CFDA) awards are often referred to the Oscars of American fashion.

On Monday, the 2024 ceremony was held at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC and saw Wicked diva Cynthia Erivo serve as host of the star-studded gala.

Honorees included R&B songstress Erykah Badu (who stunned in a bejeweled headdress and Thom Browne ensemble) with the Fashion Icon Award, designer Michael Kors with the Positive Change Award, photographer Annie Leibovitz with the Media Award, and for the second year in a row queer, Latin designer Willy Chavarria took home Menswear Designer of the Year.
