Gays list the self-care habits they started after turning 30
Self-care has become a trendy buzzword, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important. Self-care is all those little rituals and pastimes we do to maintain our bodies, minds, and emotions. And yet a new YouGov study shows that less than half of U.S. consumers practice self-care every week, and less than a third do so every day.
But we might want to prioritize self-care as we get older… especially as we age out of our work-all-day, party-all-night 20s. And self-care doesn’t even have to have anything to do with exercise or diet—it can be as easy as reading, sleeping, or just doing nothing.
Even going into full “goblin mode”—behavior that some might view as lazy, slovenly, or self-indulgent—can be self-care, as the Cleveland Clinic reported.
