Capping off another major year for Madonna (come to think of it: what year isn’t a major year for Madonna?) that saw the culmination of her record-breaking, retrospective Celebration tour, a new documentary sets out to delve deeper into the Queen Of Pop’s rise to stardom.

From filmmaker Michael Ogden (who most recently helmed the George Michael: Outed docu-series), Becoming Madonna will premiere on the British network Sky on Dec. 30, telling “one of the greatest origin stories in pop.”
