Lawmaker trolled over his age-gap relationship with younger husband

A British lawmaker has faced a fresh round of nasty online comments after posting a photo with his husband. Some people seemingly can’t get their heads around age-gap relationships.

Luke Pollard is a Labour MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport on England’s south coast. When the left-wing Labour Party swept to power in the country’s July general election, Pollard, 44, was made Minister for the Armed Forces.

In September, Pollard married his partner, Sydney Robertson. The two men met around six years ago. Robertson, who is originally from Hong Kong, works as a contemporary dancer.
