Five months after its release, “Die With A Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars finally hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. 

The track has been knocking around the top five since last August. It was initially held off the top by Shaboozey’s “Tipsy (A Bar Song)” and then by holiday-related hits. As we moved into January, Gaga and Mars claimed the top spot. 

Gaga has already confirmed that “Die With A Smile” will be included on her forthcoming seventh studio album. Its success must be welcome after the album’s lead solo single, “Disease”, only made it to number 27 on Billboard. Her eagerly-anticipated big-screen return in Joker 2 also under-performed last fall. “Die With A Smile”,
