Hunky pol & gay Iranian Alex Mohajer settles into new role as city commissioner of his hometown
Alex Mohajer was running for city council in his hometown before he suspended his campaign to boost the Democratic presidential ticket. But now, the out Iranian-American is serving his home in a different capacity.
Mohajer was appointed this week as a commissioner for Irvine, California, the Orange County municipality where he was raised by a single mom who immigrated to the U.S. from Iran. Specifically, Mohajer will serve on the Sustainability Commission, where he will work on efforts regarding renewable energy and sustainability.
“Let’s get to work!” he posted on Instagram.
