LIVE AUDIO: Trump’s Sentencing In Manhattan Court

The Washington Post reports:

President-elect Donald Trump is set to be sentenced Friday, as part of a case in which a New York jury convicted him on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a hush money payment to an adult-film actress shortly before the 2016 election.

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who presided over Trump’s trial, has said he does not plan to give Trump jail time or probation.

But with the completion of the sentencing hearing — scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time — Trump will be the first former president or president-elect convicted of criminal wrongdoing. He is expected to attend the proceedings in New York virtually from Palm Beach.
