Lawyer For Oath Keepers Sentenced To One Year
Washington DC’s CBS affiliate reports:
A former Texas prosecutor will serve a year in prison for ordering members of the Oath Keepers militia to destroy evidence about their involvement in the Capitol riot after Jan. 6, 2021.
Kellye SoRelle, 45, of Granbury, pleaded guilty in August to one felony count of obstruction of justice and one misdemeanor for entering the restricted area on Capitol grounds. She appeared Friday for sentencing before U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta, who has overseen all of the Oath Keepers cases related to Jan. 6.
In one message, SoRelle told Oath Keepers to delete any information about “the DC op and your involvement.” In another post on Signal, SoRelle wrote, in all caps, “YOU ALL NEED TO DELETE ANY OF YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT WHO DID
