WATCH: “Everything in this house is gay!” A first look at Andrew Ahn’s ‘The Wedding Banquet’

Wedding bells are ringing this spring with the latest from Andrew Ahn (Fire Island—and where’s our sequel BTW?) The award-winning director and screenwriter has flipped the script on Ang Lee’s 1993 film of the same name with a foursome cast that includes Bowen Yang, Lily Gladstone, Kelly Marie Tran, and Korean star Han Gi-Chan who may quickly become the focus of our summer stanning.

While LGBTQ+ rights have evolved since the original film, Ahn reimagines the narrative of two queer couples living together as the women seek a donor after unsuccessful IVF treatments and the guys tackle a pesky green card scenario and conservative Korean grandmother.
