A major security oversight at a gay dating app has just been revealed.

According to Cybernews, the app Gay Daddy, which bills itself as a “private and anonymous community” for gay and bisexuals men ages 40 and older to meet each other and which promises to “never share your information with third parties,” has, in fact, been sharing its users’ information with a third party.

At least 50,000 user profiles and 124,000 private photos and messages, as well as information about HIV status, were given to Firebase, a tool created by Google to help web developers build backend software, including data storage, user authentication, real-time features such as chat updates, and more.

How about we take this to the next level?
