The Golden Globes ushered in the end of the holiday season and the beginning of award season.

On Sunday, Hollywood’s biggest stars joined forces and their red carpet finery to celebrate the best of film and TV at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills for the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.

While the Globes were previously run by the controversial Hollywood Foreign Press, the ceremony is now owned by Dick Clark Productions and voted on by 334 entertainment journalists representing 85 countries.

This year’s host Nikki Glaser started the night’s festivities with a flawless opening monologue.
