Don Jr’s attempt to downplay the White House security leak backfires in his face

The fallout continues following the White House security leak of sensitive military plans. The information was divulged to the Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic who was inadvertently included in a message group on Signal.

Participants in the group chat (“Houthi PC Small group”) included Defense Secretary Mike Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The administration has reacted to the mishap by downplaying its importance. Yesterday, President Tr*mp said the information “wasn’t classified, as I understand it”, and called the journalist, Jeffrey Goldberg, a “total sleazebag”. Hegseth has defended himself by saying he did not share “war plans”.
