GOP House Candidate Arrested On Harassment Charge
Topeka’s Fox affiliate reports:
A former Republican political candidate for the District 2 Congressional seat of Kansas has been arrested by local law enforcement after allegedly harassing a county court official numerous times. The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media on Nov. 22 that 44-year-old Michael A. Ogle was arrested on Nov. 21 on charges of interference with the judicial process and harassment by telecommunications device.
He is currently being held in the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. Ogle previously ran as a Republican for the District 2 Congressional seat for the 2024 Primary Election, losing out to fellow candidate Derek Schmidt who would go on to win the General Election. Ogle’s run for the congressional seat was noteworthy as he was the only one running for office
