How 2024 was the year of celebrities casually coming out
When Ellen DeGeneres announced her sexuality to the world in 1997, it arrived in big, bold red lettering on the cover of Time Magazine: “YEP, I’M GAY.”
Not much changed in 2024: LGBTQ+ celebrities are still bravely sharing their sexualities with the world.
But in a society that’s grown more accepting and a time when queer representation is widespread across the media, the next generation is doing it a little more casually.
