How Nik Dodani & Brandon Flynn became a perfectly imperfect couple for ‘The Parenting’

In horror-comedy The Parenting, boyfriends Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn) plan a perfect weekend getaway to introduce their parents for the first time. The only problem is: the house they rented is haunted by a vengeful, centuries-old spirit… that also happens to be a little homophobic.

The hilariously unhinged romp creates a world where anything can happen—whether that be a dog eating the projectile vomit of a possessed human which turns it into a razor-toothed hellhound, or Parker Posey turning up to make hay out of every single line reading.

But for any of it to work as well as it does, The Parenting needed to be grounded in something real, and that’s exactly what it found in the on-screen spark between Dodani
