Everybody loves to go on vacation. But at what cost?

There is a long-running debate among jet-setting gays about the morals of traveling to countries that criminalize homosexuality. The current iteration of the discourse revolves around Dubai, the uber-rich desert kingdom with glistening skyscrapers and pristine man-made beaches. If one is looking for authenticity, the oil-rich business hub is not the place.

But what Dubai lacks in natural beauty, it makes up for in opulence. The city’s glamour shots would make any model blush.
