Jermelle Simon drops a very thirsty photo to tease the final season of ‘The Upshaws’

Actor Jermelle Simon, who came out as gay on National Coming Out Day in October, has posted some photos from The Upshaws to promote the sixth season of the show. 

Netflix dropped a trailer yesterday and revealed the season will premiere on January 9, 2025.

The Upshaws launched in 2021 on the streaming platform. The show centres around a working-class African American family in Indiana. Simon plays the character, Bernard “Bennie” Upshaw Jr. The season 2 finale of the show in early 2023 revealed the character to be gay.
