Originally published in tribute to the late writer and activist Joseph Beam, the collection features essays, poetry, personal narratives, and interviews that honor the Black gay arts movement of the 1980s.
Conceived by editors Charles Stephens and Steven G. Fullwood, Black Gay Genius honors Beam’s impact and his revolutionary literary works.
