Fifteen years ago, after a making a name for himself in London’s West End theater scene, then 30-year-old actor Luke Evans scored his first film audition to play Greek god Apollo in the big-budget action-fantasy spectacle Clash Of The Titans.

He got the part, and just like that, he’d made the jump from the stage to the biggest sandbox possible: Blockbuster movies.

“I think [I] managed it quite well considering I was dropped in at the deep-end with no prior experience of film work, or doing stunts, or riding a horse, or holding a sword—I’d never done any of those things!,” he shares with Queerty. “I just looked at it as an opportunity to to learn something new.”

Good thing he’s a quick learner,
