Matt Bomer opens up about being outed by the media: ‘It felt kind of unfair’

Matt Bomer has opened up about the painful reality of having his sexuality disclosed publicly before he was ready by several online media platforms, including American celeb gossip blogger Perez Hilton’s.

Speaking on Dinner’s On Me, a podcast hosted by Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Bomer recalled being outed in the early 2000s.

While Bomer wasn’t hiding who he was in his personal life, he said he was never given the chance to share that part of himself publicly on his own terms — something he described as deeply “unfair.”
