It’s well-established that LGBTQ+ people are far likelier to engage in non-monogamous relationships than straight people. While the trend speaks to the liberation that queer people feel to explore love in their own ways, it can make some monogamous members of the community feel closed off.

Or just straight up uncool.

One gay man living in Portland, Oregon expressed his frustration in a recent letter to Oregon Live. In it, he laments that he and his partner are often asked the dreaded question whenever they’re around other gays.
