My friend helps guys who are down on their luck in hopes they’ll “return the favor.” Should I tell him I’m horrified?

A friend recently told me something that left me completely sad, horrified, upset, and downright disgusted, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

He admitted that he has a habit of picking up (handsome) men who are down on their luck—homeless guys, refugees, or even day laborers who are struggling financially. He offers them food, a shower, a place to sleep, and gives them a bit of cash—like $20. At first, it sounded like he was just being generous. But then he told me that after helping them, he often brings up the idea of sex.
