Has acclaimed queer filmmaker Luca Guadagnino found a new muse in Omar Apollo?

Last year, we took note when the rising alt-pop superstar was spotted palling around the set of the director’s new movie, Queer, an adaptation of author William S. Burroughs’ semi-autobiographical novel.

As it turns out, Guadagnino had his team slide into Apollo’s DMs to ask him about taking a small part in the film, which he was more than happy to oblige even though he had no prior acting experience.
