In a particular teaser trailer for the forthcoming movie Shrek 5, the d-word is blatantly used without being bleeped. Universal Pictures apparently did not think bleeping out the profane d-word was necessary. Why would Universal or any film studio include foul language in a trailer for a children’s movie? At the very least, why not censor all profanity for an animated children’s film?

Not only is such language extremely offensive to conservative families, but it is simply unnecessary to use profanity in any movie trailer. Plus, it is irresponsible because children are likely watching during the ad’s prime-time airing, and children repeat what they hear.
