You can’t talk about the Golden Age of Hollywood without mentioning the allure, sophistication, and style of its leading hunks, from Rock Hudson and Ramon Novarro, to the late Cesar Romero.
Born to a Cuban mother and Spanish father, the film, radio, and television star called himself “The Latin from Manhattan,” a fitting nickname considering his roles were often Lothario types.
At least until he dialed down the debonair and donned clown makeup to originate the role of Joker in the 1960s Batman series. (Honestly, green wig and smudged lips be damned, we still would join him for a ride in the Jokermobile.)
