PHOTOS: An inside look at the evolution of Berlin’s thriving queer nightlife scene

That’s a question that’s hovered in queer minds for centuries as our community—as defined by outside sources—often pegs LGBTQ+ identity to the latter. Berlin-based Greek photographer Spyros Rennt has explored the infinite variations of our most personal moments throughout his career. His work culminates in Intertwined, Rennt’s new 128-page photo book that welcomes readers inside the world of queer Berlin.

Rennt’s fourth book is compiled as a series of diptychs—paired images that explore intimacy, sensuality, and community. The juxtapositions of form and context invite the viewer to consider how (and where) we engage in human touch.
