Postal Workers Union To Protest Nationwide Tomorrow
NBC News reports:
Members of the American Postal Workers Union, the labor organization that represents more than 200,000 United States Postal Service workers, will participate in planned protests across the country tomorrow in rebuke of the Trump administration moving toward privatizing the U.S. Postal Service by moving it under control of the Commerce Department.
Though the Trump administration has not announced official plans to privatize USPS, a public institution created and partially funded by Congress, Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick have indicated they are looking at pathways to do so, drawing sweeping pushback from postal worker unions and congressional Democrats.
