For years there has been speculation about Shawn Mendes and his sexuality, and after years of keeping his private life quiet (minus a public ‘relationship’ with Camilla Cabello), the singer is now speaking more freely.

The singer added that “Writing this song meant so much to me because I could address in a way where it felt close to my heart, and I guess, I’m speaking freely now because I wanna be closer to everyone”
