Trump Ridicules “51st State” Canada In 3:30AM Post

The Daily Beast reports:

Donald Trump ramped up his campaign of mockery against Canada on Wednesday with a trolling Truth Social post in the early hours.

“No one can answer why we subsidize Canada to the tune of over $100,000,000 a year? Makes no sense!” the president-elect wrote. “Many Canadians want Canada to become the 51st State. They would save massively on taxes and military protection. I think it is a great idea. 51st State!!!”

Trump has threatened to impose a 25 percent tariff on goods from Canada if it fails to stem the flow of migrants and drugs over the border into the United States.
