The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports:

The Allstate Sugar Bowl is expected to be played as scheduled Wednesday night in the wake of a suspected terrorist attack in downtown New Orleans earlier in the day, city officials said.

The game between Georgia and Notre Dame, which is scheduled to kick off at 7:45 p.m. in the Caesars Superdome, “is still expected to go on,” New Orleans City Council president Helena Moreno told WWL-TV Wednesday.

New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick told the Associated Press earlier on Wednesday that the game is expected to be played with heightened security measures in place.
