WATCH: ‘Two Black Boys in Paradise’ takes viewers on a fantastical journey of love & self-acceptance
Two Black Boys in Paradise is a powerful new film by director Baz Sells screening this week at BFI Flare, London’s premier LGBTQ+ film festival, as a part of the “To Your Souls” collection of short films.
Based on a poem by award-winning queer writer Dean Atta, whose latest book “I Can’t Even Think Straight” hits bookstore shelves in May, the 9-minute film uses stop motion animation to tell the story of two young Black men who fall in love and embark on a journey of self-acceptance–for each other and themselves.
How about we take this to the next level?
