We know ‘Wicked’ is for the gays, but just how queer is Jonathan Bailey’s character?

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, Wicked: Part One hits theaters Friday (November 22).

The ginormous blockbuster — based on the beloved Broadway musical — is undeniably the biggest LGBTQ+ cinema event of the year. Which is saying a lot, considering Gladiator 2 also hits theaters this month.

Not only does director Jon M. Chu’s film include the pivotal gay karaoke classic “Defying Gravity,” but its cast is comprised of queer icons and allies like Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and, of course, Jonathan Bailey.
