Grindr is going hard on promoting DoxyPEP. Besides offering the option to post one’s HIV and vaccination status, users can also add ‘condoms’ and ‘DoxyPEP’ to their profile. Read on for instructions.

The move is part of Grindr for Equality (G4E), Grindr’s social impact initiative. To accompany the move, the app is rolling out a series of videos to raise awareness about sexual health. 

DoxyPEP is short for Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis. It involves taking a single 200 mg dose of the antibiotic doxycycline within 72 hours of a sexual encounter to reduce the chances of acquiring an STI such as gonorrhea, chlamydia or syphilis.
