Zelensky Denies Trump’s Claim On Owning Nuke Plant

CNN reports:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he did not discuss the ownership of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant with his US counterpart Donald Trump, disputing a claim made by the White House.

After Trump held what he called a “very good” phone call with Zelensky on Wednesday, the White House said the US president had brought up Ukraine’s nuclear power plants and told Zelensky that “American ownership of those plants would be the best protection for that infrastructure and support for Ukrainian energy infrastructure.”

But speaking at a news conference in Norway on Thursday, Zelensky denied that he had discussed US ownership of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants.
